Hey guys need some insight from anyone who knows the 4R70W Automatic Tranny. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any performance transmission shops locally that can really help me on building my Auto with the right parts I need for my daily driver. I just picked up a lightly used high stall torque converter for my 2003 GT, its a 3000RPM stall and can handle 700HP and I got the flexplate for it as well. Basically Im getting my tranny ready for around 375-425RWHP right now, not a whole lot to start. Since I got the converter I figured a rebuild kit was a good idea. From what I hear the performance rebuild kits with the red Altos and such aren't the best idea, because they heat up faster even know they can tolerate more power. Not sure what rebuild kit I should be looking for!? Any insight!?
