aluminun flywheel
I am thinking of putting in an aluminun flywheel in my 2000gt is there any I should stay away from or are they all good? I was looking at fidanza or F1 racing

There is good and bad to them. Less roataional weight and you can get up in the rpm's faster, less weight means harder to launch and more rpm to get going. I have a Mach and put a aluminum on as I changed out my clutch at the same time.
I am sure someone will give their advice as well. If you are changing the clutch I would change the flywheel to aluminum at the same time. What advantages have you heard it would give you? |
I heard it could give you 10 to 30 more hp and quicker rpms

I got the f1 12 pound flywheel in my car. I noticed a difference upwards of 3000, so i never got any low end power but when it hits about 3 it pulls hard. I like mine, its a 2 piece so if i need to get it re surfaced it just buy a new inlay not a full thing again.

Do you need a clutch as well, as that is the time to change if you were going to change? |
