black fr500

hey guys
so i'm looking into getting some black fr500 rims 18x9/10 and tires. the rims are on sale at american muscle right now, i think there 128.99 (18x9) and 139.99 (18x10) plus tires and shipping, thats USD. this was the best deal i could find just wondering if anybody knows of anywhere i can get them cheaper or if i should just get these.
thanks

I would think that the only way to get those any cheaper would be to find some that have "fallen off the back of a truck".

LOL!! they are a really nice rim. i was gunna buy some black bullitts in august but figured by the time i got them and put them on my car i'd have to take them off within a month so figured i'd hold off till winters over. so i got into looking at rims i want again and was lookin at pics of different rims installed on mustangs and decided to go with the fr500. i don't think i've ever seen anybody with fr500 in my area, seen a few black bullitt and alot of various chrome rims, so i thought i was the one be all original, looks like u beat me to it tho

I got mine in early December, and installed them after work the day they came in,couldn't wait LOL!!
But i had a tough time eciding on which FR's as i liked the hyper coated ones aswell, and now i'm glad i went with the black ones as they really bring out the silver.
Just make sure you keep yourself happy, that is the way i have been building my GT,as soon as i get board or like something for her,it gets changed, and something new gets put on.

My GT has never seen the snow(i have been the only owner),so no winter driving. She is just sitting in the garage with them on waiting for spring patiently.:)

good idea winters r no fun drivin a mustang either, might park it next year if i can afford another car even tho its already seen winter. the goal is to get a 50th annivesary stang and not drive it in the winter, keep it in good condition:tup

1low03gt 01-06-2009 09:20 PM

That would be cool!

NO worries Jay, I won't go FR500 now since you did. I'll run the Saleens again this year. HAHA

Balck FR-500's FTW. Although it seems alot of people are going that direction lately. I don't know if I just noticed it becasue i have them now, or if maybe black wheels are coming back again. Either way they are a good choice. I would also check out 2kool Performance.
