blower gearing

what would be a better gear for a blowen car a 355 or 373

Ponyryd 01-23-2008 12:41 PM

Depends on engine/trans, blower type, etc.....

big 01-23-2008 12:45 PM

its a 306 with a s-trim

Ponyryd 01-23-2008 12:46 PM

306 pushrod? 3.73 for stick, 3.55 for auto.

big 01-23-2008 12:49 PM

so i gess its going to be 373 cause its 5 spd

Ponyryd 01-23-2008 12:52 PM

Really depends on the car/combo in the end, but 3.73 is the best starting point IMO, especially since a centri blower needs revs for power.
