Clutch Problems on my '70 Mustang

I just joined this forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a restored '70 Boss 302 which is a resto-mod car, Dyno'd 500hp 408W stroker, TCS front end, 4 wheel disc brakes, Lowered, but it has some issues as most rods do!

I have a tremec TKO500 in it with a modified crossmember and driveshaft. Installed a wildwood hydraulic clutch system using the stock pedal assy with a modified pushrod bracket. Under normal driving conditions it works well. If I try to race it/Push it real hard the clutch fails miserably. I can't shift at all and it seems to lock me out several minutes after. Even if I come to a complete stop, the clutch will not dis-engage from the flywheel and allow me to put the car in gear.

All this aside, I prefer hydraulic and refuse to go with the original mechanical setup with the dreaded "Z" bar.

I was thinking of possibly changing the stock pedal assy out for a Wilwood aftermarket pedals.

My question is: Is there anyone out there who has a potential solution for my clutch woes?? Any and all suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Swerve

I can't really help you but you really should post some pics of that beast, sounds like quite a car. Welcome aboard.

You say you can't shift, the clutch will not disengaged?
It shifts to neutral but not into a gear or stays jammed in gear?
So if you stop the car does it stall?
Any noises?
When you are able to drive it after what do you do to get the shifting to work?
