Kid takes car, comes back with vibration and shifting issues

Hi Folks.
2010 Mustang GT Premium manual. 93000 KM
Please advise!

Symptoms.

Rough idle at 800 RPM. Smooth at 1000 RPM.
Rough running on compression. Vibration.
Won't downshift to 3rd or 2nd from over 4500 RPM until revs are lower.
Rattling tin can sound on slowing to a stop. Possibly something loose or detached and rolling around in a housing.

Any ideas?
Many thanks, Alan

Downshifting over 4500 seems like a bad idea to me anyway. Where is the rattling from. Sounds like he broke something major though and was bouncing of the limiter maybe? Good luck.

Check the shields on your cats. Might be loose.
