Liquid filled Guages Question

My car has been in storage for a while and i installed a liquid filled fuel pressure guage under the hood. I have heard from some people its not good to let them freeze. can cause probems or discolorization. Has anyone had this problem or ever hear of it. Thanks

I have used liquid filled gauges in the past and have let my car sit in an unheated garage. I had no discoloring or issues with the gauges. I did that for 2 seasons.

Most gauges are filled with silicone oils or glycerin. For extreme temps, silicone filled is key.

I was going to say ^^ most liquid filled gauges are filled with temp resistant oil....

that way they're not subject to temp changes from the engine... aside from the temp gauge... lol

I googled that question. The above threads are right. Freezing shouldn't be a problem.

I had them in my old mustang,... it was stored for 2 winters in Sudbury,...... never had any issues.
