Oil and Oil Additives. (very useful info)

Ok I have been reading stuff about lawsuits with Zmax, and other additives, and people asking what oil they should use, synthetic or regular oil. Well I think this is a good read, and explains alot, that most people are not aware of. Be sure to read the article about the Ford Engineer writing to carbibles.com, I think everything he says makes great sense, but just my opinion. Hope this is helpful to some of you.

Yeah I know it's kinda long....sorry bout that, just thought for those of us that drive our cars, it would be helpful. Hehehe

I've never added any additives to my engine oil,

But I find a little fuel injector cleaner tends to help in the gas tank.

My Pony is 4000 klicks to hit 100K... and all the fun expensive maintenance
that goes along with it.... LOL.

Thankfully though I did plugs and wires in October and a rad flush yesterday...
makes the final bill in a month less evil!

Ahhh ford dealer maintenance services... LOL.

Very interesting. Good find, too! I use synthetic, and that's all. No additives for me. Never saw a need for them. As long as your oil changes are regular, your engine should stay clean (ish) and run well.

I agree with using synthetic, and actually I use Amsoil. I've done some research(surfin' the net), and found some really good info about Amsoil, and the best part is that it's not an additive, and they don't big names to sell their product, in fact you don't see them advertising, like some of the others. But like you pointed out, as long as your following a regular maintenance program, you should be fine!:tup
