torque converter???

i want to upgrade my auto tranny with a shift kit ,a new set of rear gear and a new torque converter,
what i found about the torque converter is that they have many style ;
a level 1 11' bolt circle ,level 2 12' bolt circle,and police special,
witch one will be the best for a 3.73 gear?:confused:

i think it may all have to do with the amount of power your gonna be putting out....but if it were me...i would go midrange type thing....save some money on things you dont need....but not get screwed over by the smallest torque converter....but thats just me?....research it up :)

The bolt circle is the diameter of the mounting holes in the flex plate. Do more research on torque converters before you choose and make sure you go with a manufacturer you can trust and who will ask you the right questions so you get the right stall and converter to suit your needs. The j-mod is the route to go for improved shifts. I found excellent instructions here on how to do it. CrownVic.Net. Google j-mod. Some shift kits have been known to cause trouble.
