Tsb 12-08-24

Anyone else's Mustang been affected by this yet?

Mine has 2800 km on it, and it's already doing this. NOT impressed one bit. I am just curious if anyone has had nightmare storis of Ford saying there is noting wrong. DESPITE there being a $!@#$ TSB on it. What gets me, is this TSB is for 2011 - 2013 Mustang's. COME ON. How is it possible that this issue would affect that many years of Mustangs? UGHH!!!

Please tell me Ford owns up to this, and replaces the lower control arms with no issue?

Maybe I'm confused, but if there's a TSB issued, doesn't that mean they know its a problem? If Ford was not "owning up to this", why would it be issued to dealers in an official TSB?

Well - Prime example. I call the service guys. They say "Oh wow, you have a brand new vehicle and it shouldn't be doing that. Are you sure you didn't run over something?". I said there is a TSB! on it.

I can only imagine once it goes in. This is the first new Ford vehicle that I have actually had to take in. I was just curious if anyone else experienced this issue and/or their response from the dealership.

I just want to know if I have to prepare myself from getting angry. :) I know every dealership is different. However all the posts I have read were about people complaining this didn't fix the issue, or it did and it came back a couple of weeks later. Albeit the last post I saw was from the start of this year. Either a) it's no longer an issue and it gets repaired no questions asked, or b) I didn't dig deep enough for more responses.

I would suggest booking the car in and letting them diag/repair it instead of surfing the Internet for horror stories. Looks like a pretty minor repair and I can't see why any dealer would give you trouble over it. I can also tell you that going in with a negative attitude and being "ready to get mad" will only make the situation worse. If they give you a tough time there are other avenues to take.

From the sound of your first post, you're already there. Tough luck with a brand new ride dude, but like Chad said, don't get all worked up over internet horror stories, I think a lot of the stuff posted is BS. Go in looking for a fight , you'll get one and lose. Good advice to follow from Chad. Good luck, let us know how you make out.

In agreement with everyone else don't be so quick to get mad, trust me I'm in the service business and I never, never forget the aholes and will still deal with them but they don't get anything special out of me.You've heard the saying you attract more bees with honey than vinegar and it's true in the everyday world. Now as for the dealer asking if you ran over anything that shouldn't matter the car is still under warranty, and if your really not happy go to the actual dealership management instead of the service manager plus if possible have a copy of the tsp report.I guess I'm lucky I have a 13 and it's running like a charm knock on wood

I called 1 of my dealers locally and they said it was for only up to 2012 mustang not mine. but since I am under the 3 year/60,000 they would fix under warranty. I hung up and was mad. When I called I was nice as can be then after I hung up I got mad. Haven't booked it in yet as I am not paying for anything when I only have 10,000km on it so far.....

jeez simons relax you really have some anger issues if your getting po'd about such a minor issue I'm on my fifth brandnew vehicle and each and every one has had problems that's what warranty is about happens.Try having a 10 grand repair to a audi dsg tranny, audi was fantastic about it didn't cost me a penny. If you are really that pissed then you know sell the car and buy a bike you will never be happy
