Need some advice.

At the track this past weekend I managed a 13.2 @107mph which is the good news. The bad news is I shifted to 2nd from 3rd instead of 4th at 90+ mph. Well I hopped down the track like crazy and now my rear end is whining like crazy on deceleration. I assume I screwed the pinion or bearings. So I am going to live with the noise since winter is coming.

Here is where I need some input. I have a 4:10 right now but will be installing a Procharger over winter as well. I already find the 4:10 a little steep for the city. Was thinking of going 3:90. Will there be a significant difference? ALso while I have the rear end apart is there any point in upgrading the axles or the LSD? Have people had these fail after installing a blower?

Thanks!

In my opinion, your better off in sticking with the 4.10's rather then going to 3.90's.There really isn't much of a difference between the two really when it all comes down to it.Now,maybe 3.73's since they would be a tad better then stock, and aid in the traction issue you will have with the up coming blower upgrade.
I could never understand why a 3.90 is out there.To me it's a waste.It's like saying...."i want to be a 4.10,but not".... LOL!And that's just my opinion,so please take no offence.
As for the axles, you can't go wrong when adding a set of aftermarket axles that are design to take abuse, and have longtivity in mind.

I like your thinking on the 3:73's. The new svt runs them so they must do the trick

Start upgrading parts and whatever's the next weakest stock part will break. Racing stuff is hard on the equipment, so expect some breakage. I'm not sure why you would bother with the Procharger at all - anything over 50km/hr and the po-po will give you lots of exercise walking. ha ha ha aha ha ha
