I a planning on supercharging in the future, does it matter that im a 3.8 V6 or does it matter the kind of supercharger?

No it does not matter.
It was originally for a Pro-charger setup and for a intercooler setup.

 

Bump, still for sale. Anyone have a junk one that needs to be replaced? or currently building a Boosted application?

Does not matter as much boost as you can handle the reason for this is because when your out of the boost it goes into vacuum witch then opens it up and releases the pressured air.

I realize that but they are only rated to flow a certain cfm of air based on boost pressure, i.e. the stock plastic one from a vortec kit will only move enough volume to handle about 8psi of boost. I am guessing yours will handle about 15psi but wondered if you knew for sure.
