There is a picture in this thread but it will not fit a Cobra.
This will fit a 99-04 V6 or GT.
There is a different one for the Cobra that has to clear the supercharger.

Dibs on the stock air intake hose and filter box if you have 'em...

I no longer have the stock air hose and filter setup.

Newbie here: what's the purpose of "strut tower brace"?

Newbie here: what's the purpose of "strut tower brace"? How many are needed? Just purchased what is probably a stock 2001 Pony V6.
Thanks

Every car experiences a certain amount of flex/body roll during cornering.
It is much more pronounced at speed. Eliminating or reducing this effect makes the car feel much more tighter and much more fun to drive.

The shock towers are one of the flex points on the mustang and a brace helps with this issue.

A brace is a good starting point but on its own it will not transform your car into a road racer.
A brace, sub frame connectors, upgraded shocks/struts, better rear lower control arms and upgraded sway bars will all make your car into a different ride from what it is today.

Even replacing the stock sway bar bushings with new ones or urethanes will be noticeable (depending on the mileage).

What are your plans for your new car? Daily driver only, weekend auto cross, etc?

This is what I found on the Steeda website (US):
Steeda Rear Shock Tower Brace - '79-'04 Ford Mustang

This is a racing component, in my opinion, and does require expert installation (incl. welding). I wish I could use them, since I have new rear shocks and new sway bar bushings in the front. It's a daily driver, yes, and a winter car, I hope also, so no lowering of suspension.
Thanks, anyways.

That is not the brace I have for sale.

I have the front brace that mounts to the 2 towers and at the fire wall. It is a bolt on part.

That rear brace you linked is a great piece though.
