Just bought a BBK-offroad H-pipe for my Mustang. I got the Flowmaster 40's last year but she is still not sounding like a Mustang should. So I think she will sound good with this set up? I will find out tomorrow.:) Spring has come early on the island seen a few Mustangs & other nice cars out, the last few weeks.

It will sound 10% times better. It's the factory mid pipe that chokes the sound, and performance, aftermarket mufflers just add the cherry with a nice quality aftermarket mid pipe.

What Flowmaster 40 series do you have. "originals" or delta flows". The originals are the more aggressive angry sounding ones, the delta flows are a little more taimer in sound. I have had both on my GT with the same mid pipe, and the "originals" are the ones that most look for for that classic Flowmaster sound.

You will be thrilled, it will sound awesome. I had flows and an off road h on my 89 coupe.

Man does she ever sound great I love it! Yes I have the original 40s Flowmaster mufflers $138+ $100 install. I paid $220 with tax for the BBK off road H-pipe at Lordco.Plus $220 to install So next is the BBK underdrive pulley set for another 10-15 HP and the polished aluminum will give it some shine.)

I was told that the Underdrive pulley kit was not worth doing unless I race my Mustang. Also was told I won't get very good charging?

I have the BBK UDP on my Bullitt when I had the cams put in the engine with a 91 Oct tune. The UDP were good for 8 HP at the wheels my car is daily driven year round and I have never had charging issues. I was told a big stereo could cause problems. All I know is the UDP's allowed for the engine to wind up faster and much more responsive. Yes the tune and cams help but I do not regret the UDP.

Thanks for the info Bullitt-Good to know. I just may go and install the UDP for my Mustang with the rest of the bolt on's.

Glad to help, you won't regret them. I'm looking forward to KooKs LT/Mid pipe next year, did the same thing you did asked around researched and decided. Just wish the LT's and mid pipes weren't so pricey. :)
