Blower for 97 Cobra
Hi guys and gals. What are your thoughts about Kenne Bell blowers. I contacted them and they recommended their 2.1L at 6 psi for my bone stock 97 Cobra engine. They claimed app 375 rwhp with a cold air filter, X pipe and underdrive pulleys. Anyone familiar with this combo. Any thoughts on centrifugal vs roots type ?

The normally aspirated motor was set up with the FAST management system, 36-pound injectors, and Hooker long-tube headers.a new electric water pump that featured an idler pulley, which allowed us to run the electric pump with the Kenne Bell blower.
Torque production exceeded 300 lb-ft, from 3,600 rpm to 6,500 rpm. While 300 lb-ft of torque at 3,600 rpm is fairly impressive from just 281 ci, that number was about to change by more than 100 lb-ft with the installation of the Kenne Bell blower. |
if you have a cobra dont supercharge it do a twin turbo setup free HP.
Ive got a 5.0L Supercharged now, but after dealing with this car next one is gonna be a TT Cobra all the way, good up to 1800RWHP |
Thanks for the info. I'm going to check out the twin turbos.I guess the advantage is that they don't require horsepower to turn them. Again, thanks
