Dynomax exhaust

Anyone had experience with Dynomax exhaust systems? I am considering a cat back system for my 92 GT. As an alternative to Magnaflow and Flowmaster, I have checked out the Dynomax webste and ther systems look interesting.
My biggest desire is to get a system with as little drone in the car as possible.
Thanks for any comments.

I had the dynomax on one of my 5L. Equal length headers, catted h pipe and dynomax catback. Sounded sweet, somewhat quiet at idle but screamed at WOT. Didn't drone like my flows do. Lol

I'm a big fan of the Walker Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers behind a 302 Ford engine ... as rk122075 said, reasonable sound level at lower speed / throttle, and a fantastic sound when you get on the gas. I had them on my old car, and have an "old school" 2-1/4" system to go on my 89 project. Even put them on the 68 Cougar 289 that I used to have, made a stock engine sound great on acceleration.

cheers

Flowmaster all the way, hands down.

I'm with the first two answers. The Dynomax Super Turbos sound great on a Fox 5.0. I had them on my '85 LX and loved the sound. Mine had 1 5/8" shorties, 2 1/2" off road H-pipe, 2 1/2" Dynomax Super Turbs, and 2 1/2" tails (with a B cam). It was a sound I'll never forget...nice and clean, not overly loud, and little to no drone. *sigh* I miss that car.

I've done Dynomax super turbo's, Flowpaths (MAC exhaust), and Flowmasters 40 series Originals, and 40 series Delta Flows and have come back to Flowmaster 40 series Originals on both my old 5.0L '85 GT, and my current '03 GT.Heck i am even running a Flowmaster 40 series Original on my daily driver F-150.
I find you will find drone with most mufflers/catbacks. Just find the sweet spot in the rpms while cruising. It will drone either in the low rpms, or high rpms, just depends on the gear your in.
Plus if you are only doing a catback, and keeping the stock h pipe with the 4 cats. You do not need to worry about drone to much. The factory cats do a great job in chocking the sound, aswell as the flow in the exhaust LOL!

I'm with 1LOW03GT. I have the the Flowmaster 40's Originals with a 2 1/2" BBK off road H-pipe. She sounds awesome!! Plus its a lot better than running 4 cats also she's a bit faster. So I don't mind a little drone LOL..

Never heard dynomax but I had flowmaster and Mac on my 5.0's and preferred Mac.

The only thing I had Dynomax on was my old 85 Ford 4x4 with a 460 in it, and it sounded ok, not really as loud as I expected though. I love the Macs

Flows will always be the sound of Mustang so to speak. My current car is a 94 GT and I have BBK long tubes, Mac H pipe and flow master catback. and its wonderful. LOL
