Gears are not a do it yourself type job unless you really know what you are doing. There is measuring, shimming, and you need to make sure you have a correct pattern.

Leave gears to the professionals.

Get a tune, intake and exhaust, axle backs are pretty easy to install yourself. Do those first then throw in some gears to top it off. It'll be a whole different machine.

Gears are something that should be done professional. You won't be dissapointed in the seat of the pants difference!!!! :) I had 4.10s in my 2002 GT and wish I went 4.30s. I may have some screws loose though... My current 1994 S-Trim 5.0L has 3.73s being put in it.

I could be wrong but I think the 07 GT had 3.55 stock with a stick and 3.31 with auto...?

I think you're right unless it had the 3.73 option from the factory. If that was even available in 07.

There might be a tag on the rear diff or look at the door jamb sticker and see if it has one of these codes on it for the axle.

BG — 3.31 — non-limited slip, base vehicle with manual or automatic transmission

CD — 3.55 — limited slip, GT with manual transmission

CG — 3.31 — limited slip, GT with automatic transmission
