pi parts

I have a set of pi heads and intake manifold , plus the manifold gaskets, and valve covers, i need all the other parts to make this swap work on my 1996 mustang gt.

Like what other stuff. I took a bunch of PI stuff off when i did the '01 Bullitt intake swap as most of the parts for that intake were different compared to the standard PI intake stuff.

Need head gaskets for 99 pi heads, also need alternator bracket for 01-04 gt and heater/ coolant hoses for 99-04 gt

For the cylinder head gaskets, get this kit....
Part number M6067D46

Cylinder Head Changing Kit 4.6L 2V/4V

This is the kit with everything you need to put the PI heads on.
I just used this kit myself this past spring, and this is probably the cheapest place you will find it aswell.
The head gaskets from Ford parts counter are way to expensive, they are like over a 100 bucks each side!!!...., same goes with the head bolts which you will need, do not re use your stock heads bolds, they are torqued to yeld bolts. So this kit is worth every dollar, and is actuall Ford parts anyways.

For the bracket, i have one kicking around, it's from a '04 PI, give me till the weekend to dig it up if you can wait.
And for the hoses, are you looking for the rubber ones, or the metal one that runs under the intake? The only one i have is the metal one. I was able to re use my stock rubber hoses with the Bullitt intake.

I will take the bracket when you find it and the hoses, also do you know anyone that can port these heads good for cheap, i have one guy and he said he can do them for 300 dollars a head cash , i dont know if thats a good deal or not.lol Or if there is somewhere that can do CNC them.

Be careful on where, or who portes these heads. I've done a lot of reading on porting the 2V heads, and if it is not done properly, you can lose quite a bit of the bottom end torque. I would recommend talking to guys Like Steeda.ca, DaSilvas, ects...

Ok, and as for the hoses, all i have is the metal tube, is that the one you want? I don't have the rubber ones.

Did you get yours ported by desiva or...? See i am planning on running stage 2 comp cams and longtube headers , i already have the bolt ons like udp, cai, 74mm tb and plenium, pi intake manifold , sct tuner , 4;10 gears , no mufflers but cats and x pipe with 3inch piping out back... its a 96 mustang gt 5spd coupe that i own and i am trying to get the car into the high 12's , so i wanted to try to get the heads all done before i put them in. I notice the compression goes up on a 96 to 10.4 with the pi heads , i just need some advice thats all. but ya those hoses should be fine too.

I never had my heads ported, all i did with mine was smoothed out the exhaust runners seeing that they are very ruff, and i didn't want to spend money on porting my heads.
The PI heads right out of the box are a great improvement for the non PI shortblock.
A buddy of mine that did the whole PI upgrade on his '97 was running 13.5's with the basic bolt ons, 4.10's, and slicks. So your goal for 12's will not be hard.

I will dig out the metal coolant tube aswell then, and let you know i they (coolant tube, and alt. bracket) are ready for you.

Ya i saw your buddys 97 gt but his heads were ported , i have read that doing cnc machining the ports will give you the most but..... i just am trying to get to the high 12's thats all , do you really thing that i could get there without porting the heads? And if i brought you my heads , would you be able to smooth out the exhaust ports or.... if i paid you?

To be honest, i forgot he had his heads ported, they even might have been ported by Rev N High since they were the ones that installed them for him.

I can smooth them out for you if that is what you want, wouldn't take long if you were to come here by the afternoon one day on the weekend.
I know that 12's will not be an issues with unported heads, but since you are there with them off, with some cash on hand, it wouldn't hurt to see how much it would cost you. Myself just didn't want to spend the money in doing so. I am pleased on how my GT runs as is. Best i could mustard up was 13 flat with 2 inch drop spring that are designed for corner carving, not straight line raising, but if i had the proper drag suspension, and some weight savings, 12's are there for sure for what my car makes for hp. So that is another area you will need to look at.

As for the metal coolant tube, and alt. bracket, i found them.
The alt bracket is off of a 2004 crown vic 4.6L which was out of a cop car, and the metal coolant tube is from my '03 GT which runs under the PI intake in the valley of the block between the heads. If you do not have this, i am pretty sure it is needed to do the PI intake swap since it is different in design compared to the non PI intake.
