WTB: MAF Screen

anyone? please? :tup

do not even put this in. it is a waste of time and the car is tuned for having it.

Mach1Chris 07-17-2005 11:15 PM

without having one is causing brutal stalling issues... its either that or my tune.. take your pick :tup

You had the stalling issues before the tune...if you want to drop the car off for a day so I can do some drivability with it I can cure it.

never had stalling issues before the tune... but the MAF screen was removed the same time as the tune and has been blamed for many stalling issues... and i'll talk to you about that drivability stuff

Was there not a thread going some time back (on another board that will remain nameless) about Mach's experiencing stalling issues when the screen was removed and or a cold air kit installed?

there was several on the mach1registry, there was also a side note/mini article in MM&FF a few years back. its not only mach's either...

I still have my screen in and it still stalls once in blue moon when comming off the hwy. It has to do with the off throdle fuel pressure, I've found down shifting solves this issue.

I will not remove my maf screen.

MAF screen will not change fuel pressure, however it will change the air meter transfer functtion, which changes your air fuel ratio. Keeping or removing the screen is a toss up....there is no harm in removing it
