1978 Mustang II 5.0 For Sale
I need a new home for my Mustang II. Right now she is stored in my garage and needs someone to provide TLC and some work to get running again.
This Mustang was owned by my sister (original owner) and I purchased it in 1981. I drove it for 3 years then put into storage in 1984 when I purchased a car more suitable for my new job.
Then in 1991 I drove her for another 6 months before family came along and back into storage! I had a basic paint job done at this time.
Storage ever since but storage in a barn was not kind to her. She has been in dry garages since 2005 and last driven in 2012 between locations.
She is mostly original: 5.0 litre (King Cobra but without the decals), manual 4 speed, A/C, smoke glass T roof, 125KM is original - see photos
I had a mechanic install a FORD 4 barrel manifold / carb and put in a high voltage ignition coil and distributor. I also had the frame stiffened as I wanted to add some power using the stock engine rebuild. Turns out the mechanic wasn't so good as he started the engine up from storage (after 9 years) and some cylinder scoring as the compression in 2 cylinders is not up to spec. Seats and carpet are out as I was about to do the fuel tank when I decided best to let go. I have no garage space to work from. Aluminum mags and tires 215/60R14.
She needs:
A fuel tank (it leaks), carb and battery to run. New tires recommended. Rebuilding the engine was my plan.
The body is very good but the back bumper steel has expanded the plastic and there is one spot in the upper windshield support. Bumperets are (as always) a problem. The car is FORD Duraguard and was undercoated.

Don't see many of those around thats for sure. Throw some contact info outside the forum ( e-mail or cell ) just in case.
