Rare early production 1983 GLX Convertible 5.0 with 4spd O/D manual transmission. This car is #83 of a short run built in early production with the 4 speed manual transmission prior to the 5 speed transmission going into production. 1983 was the year of the return of the Mustang Convertible after a 10 year absence and also the return of the 4 barrel carburetor 5.0 HO in the Mustang.
With just over 100,000km, original and never been winter driven it would make an excellent restoration project. It needs a rear window, paint and has a small rust perforation on the inside of the small lower right panel behind the wheel where the convertible top drains that needs repair.
I put 3,000km on it this summer year but other than a few parades its been stored most of the last 10 years and every winter.
In addition to the factory premium aluminium wheels it came with a set of aftermarket 5 spoke alloys, boot cover, bra, K&N air cleaner, Ford aluminum valve covers and Ford premium sound originally.
I am moving so if your looking for a project and interested make me a reasonable offer.

Of the 298 total built, this GLX was built with the 5.0 H/O 4V engine option and SROD 4-speed prior to the T5 5-speed introduction part way through the 1983 model year.

With just over 100,000km and never winter driven this Alberta car is very preservable. It has a solid chassis and an excellent interior.
