Asking price is $1500

Rims in first 2 pictures are for sale for 600 bucks.
Car is located in niagara region.

1992 mustang lx coupe, looking to sell or trade. Rims and subs do not come with car at this price. Car is also as is. read the WHOLE ad to find out why
Body:
passenger side floor pan was replaced before winter, all frame rails, trunk pan shock towers are solid with no soft spots. wheel wells are also solid with no rust.
Suspension/drivetrain:
V8 lowering springs all around, corners flat at almost any speed. struts in front are fine but am including KYB GT2 struts. Ball joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings all show no play. Wheel bearings were replaced when the brakes were done. Brakes were done 10,000kms ago, new rotors, pads in the front, new drums, adjuster kit, spring kits, wheel cylinders in the back, line to the back was replaced 5000kms ago. 8.8 posi rearend with 3.08 gears, completely rebuilt , sanded and painted black. aluminum driveshaft, transmission was originally an automatic but a previous owner converted to 5 speed.
Engine:
2.3L 8 plug 4cyl rebuilt about 35000kms ago by previous owner. claimed he put in 9.5:1 compression pistons, ported and polished head with 3 angle valve job, ported and polished upper and lower intakes. has ranger tubular cast exhaust manifold. only runs on 91 octane or higher which is why i believe the previous owner did all the work. i put in 19 pound injectors and a bigger maf housing for more flow. Current setup gets 24.8 mpg or 12.1L per 100 kms with aggressive drive mixed hwy and city.
Engine runs beautifully and pulls hard for a N/A 2.3L. Never had any problems with the car, have been using it as my daily driver since may last year, passed etest no problems but i bought a high flow cat to put on( not installed).
Hood is a cobra rr hood that has a functioning scoop and cowl. Also have a rust free trunk lid but it is in storage and wont be out till april. Headlights are Halo LED projectors with 8000k HIDs. stereo is a pioneer head unit with 6.5" door speakers and 6x9 rears. sounds good as is, with the subs it sounds amazing. Black tweed rear seats were put in because i was going to put in racing buckets but never got around to it, have the original rear seats to go with car
THE BAD NEWS: flywheel is starting to lose teeth and grinds when starting up. Still starts and runs can be test driven.
Ive put a lot of money into this car, but since i dont have a garage to do it in, i am unable to do the work.
This is everything i can think of that i know has been done to the car. but if you have questions feel free to ask.
As far as trades go, no rot boxes please. Will trade for other mustangs as well, newer or older, doesnt matter.
As far as cash offers go, im not stupid, i know what my car is worth. dont bother telling me otherwise. but the price is flexible if you bring cash.
First picture is before the hood was installed, with the rims. Second picture has rims and hood installed, last three are of the car today(february 17th) with snow tires.

I'd be interested in the hood if you part it out...

Charlie9294 02-23-2011 01:55 PM

if i part out i'll take 200 for the hood, but its not mint, needs minor glass work and paint.

If you part it what would you be looking for, for the t-5, bellhousing, engine block plate.

Charlie9294 02-23-2011 03:17 PM

probly 500 for the drivetrain minus the rearend. that would include the harness and ecm aswell. as it stands i know where i can get 200 just for the t-5, and because the motor is built up to what is is, that to me would be a low price.
