5 Attachment(s)
1973 Mustang MACH1, North Carolina car brought up here in 2006.
Original engine was a 351C 2V Auto w/ A/C
Fresh (April 07) 460 Balanced & Blueprinted, Aluminum CJ FRPP heads, Cam Research Hyd Cam (mild), Keith Black pistons (.030 over), 750 Vac Sec Holley, Wieand Stealth dual plane intake, MSD6AL Ignition w/ Rev limiter option, Line-Lock, FPA Ceramic headers, B&M Ratchet shifter, all the go fast goodies and nothin but the best.......
C6 Auto w/ stock stall converter
3.50 ratio 9" posi rear, new KYB shocks all around, new front brakes, new interior.
New Traction bars (the good ones)
Power Steering & Brakes
AM/FM/CD
Car cerified in Feb/06 and will again
Door hinges need new bushings (Bushing Kit = $ 26.00)
White paint looks good, Rust free solid body, paint is a 5.5 to 6 and should be re-done to do the car justice but looks great from 30'
Car has excellent street manners, and is a "drive anywhere" car.
I did not build it to Drag Race and have never done so, but the previous owner in NC did, and with different Cam, Carb, gears, stall converter, intake etc it ran low to Mid 11's. I have toned it down to be a great steet car, though it certainly wouln't be adverse to some drag racing I suppose, were you so inclined. Current set-up would likely yeild high 12's, but that's totally a conservative guess, and not with the rear tires that are on there.
Car is located in Burlington
$16,000

with a few more minor improvements and fresh paint this car is easily a $25,000 car. A good investment and great entry level classic Mustang for the performance enthusiast.

Wow very very nice car.
How big is the stall converter?
Are you looking for trades?

Oh and BTW you left your interior light on ;) j/k

Again very sweet car.

stock stall

Hi
It has a stock stall converter (1,200 to 1,400rpm ?).
High stall not really needed as the torque comes on real early
ie. approx 400 ft lbs at 2,200 rpm and climbing
Cam is all done at 5,400rpm
If I had to make a conservative edumicated guess, I'd guess 450hp @ 5,200rpm and 500ft lbs at 3,500rpm

The computer desktop Dyno says way more, but they exagerate in my opinion on the high side.
I wanted to put a stock Mach1 hood back on the car if I ever painted it, to make it a real sleeper.
The FRPP aluminum Cobra Jet heads are what really make it all work.

Having said all this, I don't want to give everyone the impression this is a race car, or is unpleasant to drive on the street. This car drives smoothly, and handles very well (upgraded 1 1/8" front sway bar and KYB shocks and Roller Spring Perches). With a quiter exhaust sytem it's a hell of a sleeper, that starts 1st time every time, and is super reliable..... I built this to be a bullit-proof, quick street car with excellent manners and handling.... that will still rock your world if you wish to unleash it.This car is the best of both worlds.

Good luck with the sale
