Okay I really really want this out of my way so i'll let it go for $350.00 providing it's gone before X mas. If not sold by then I'll use it in a conversion

Would this be a direct bolt in or would I need to modify or change any other part of my brake system? It's going in an 89 Stang.

My old 85 5.0 had 3.55 TC rear in it when I bought, he reused the stang axels and the wheels still stuck out a little more than one would like, with the TC axels it wouldn't even be legal because the tires stick out so far.

Sure the wheels may have stuck out more than you liked but what kind of wheel was it? What was the B/S on the rim?
You can bolt up a set of Pony's or any other stock rim and have no issues aside from maybe rolling the qtr. panel lip. Go read any of the how to's and check the wheel fittiment section. You are correct in saying you can swap to the stock Mustang axles and this would still allow you to fit a 10" rim in the wheelwell. Do the math first!

The TC rear end with it's discs will put the wheels out 3/4s of an inch per side vs. stock fox body rear be it a 7.5 or 8.8. Not a big deal.

You can use Stang axles and drum setup in the TC 8.8 housing as all the fox 79-98? housings [fairmont, stang, t bird etc] are the SAME and it is the brakes, backing plates, and axles that differ. Actually there was a V6 Cougar/T Bird in 87/88 I think that used a different 7.5" HOUSING, but other than that, an 8.8 housing is dimensionally the same all years.

Scones your 85 vert had a drum braked, 7.5" TC rear [and TC axles] out of an earlier [pre 87] TC which would have meant you were running a 3.45 gear and 3/4" extra spacing outward...

I can't remember exact but the SN 95 axles/disc setups are about the same as the 87-88 T Birds as far as how much furhter outward your wheels will sit in the well.

Mustang SVO, borrowed from the Lincoln Mark and LSC cars and the axles discs, etc sit out 1.25" in comparison to stock fox body drum rear.
