K&N cold air intake kits are designed to replace your vehicle’s restrictive factory air intake system with a high-flow performance K&N air filter and aerodynamic air intake tubing in order to increase horsepower and acceleration. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce air intake restriction as well as smooth and straighten air flow. Most K&N cold air intake systems will have the air filter located in the original air box space and are protected from hot engine bay air with a heat shield. Larger amounts of air flow from the air filter through a free-flowing intake tube and into the engine’s throttle body (or turbo inlet where equipped) for a guaranteed power gain. K&N cold air intake systems are usually easy to install in about 90 minutes with common hand tools. The oversized performance air filter can be used up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed.
