6 disc cd mach radio
I have bought a 2004 gt. I am looking to find out where I can locate the SN# of the radio. I do not have the u-bolt key to pull the radio. I am also looking how or where to purchase that key.

Welcome aboard. All I used was a coat hangar. Cut both ends off the coat hangar, and you have yourself two u hooks to pull out the deck. I can't remember exactly where the serial number is. It's been a while for me.

If your radio goes missing, I bet I know where it will be. :lol |
LOL, that's ok, because my stock 6cd mach stereo is in a box in my basement. :D

Hahaha, too funny!! Where do you come up with this stuff!! Love it LOL!

i found the keys at cdn tire...of course they won't fit in. the tabs will not slip out of the way. will the radio come out with out the keys? i have heard they won't? not sure?
|
Not sure if this helps. |
Stupid question, but if the radio comes out without the keys, why would you need them?
|
that is my point.....
but by looking at the video it seems to be able to come out. that is a good thing. the sound that comes out of the system is not that bad. i want to stay as original as possible. besides i am cheap, did not want to spend huge amounts of money to change out all the amps and speakers too. i understand that the audio units do not play well with others. |
Just cut the ends off of a wire coat hanger. Done. That's what I did to get my stock radio out of my GT. Very easy.
