Detailing shops

what's the word on these places like Ziebart and Fine Details. Any good?

Never taken my car to any place like that.
I do get my cars washed (inside and out, from time to time) by the Mobile Wash that comes to my work's underground parking. The guy is here almost every day and has the regular weekly ones and then anyone who calls. I pay $18 (incl. taxes) for outside wash with the wheels and tires too. I think it is an extra $10 for the inside, vacuum etc...

I hate to admit it, but I have only washed my Cobra once this year myself. And that was back in March on the night I first brought it out.

When I drove down to Florida (Miami) I was also looking for a place to do the outside of the Cobra. I had no idea where to go. I wouldn't trust just anyone.

So I drove into one place that was around the corner from my family - as soon as I drove in, I was ok with leaving them the car. Many German and Italians there... other than the H3 I was the only domestic.

Reputable detailers are usually know on a single basis. Not a Company. Some companies get lucky enough to hire a skilled detailer but they often dont stick around long when the company forces quick profitable work. I HIGHLY recommend the following person,

Richard Miles,
R.M. Automotive Detailing
416-258-7624
rimiles1@rogers.com

He will do a PERFECT job everytime. Here is an email he sent me with basic pricing, Tell him Chris from eShine sent ya!

"Hey Chris,

For an "average condition and sized" vehicle I would charge on average $175.00.

This would include a wash, clay, polish, wax or sealent. Also includes rims cleaned, tires, trim and wheel wells dressed and exterior windows cleaned. The wash would also include all door jambs cleaned as well.

The price of course could change based upon the severity of swirls and paint correction needed, but again for an average car that is the price for the package.

If the customer requires just the paint dealt with as a stand alone service, than the price would average to about $150.00, so for $25.00 more, they get some pretty good value added in my opinion.

Hope this helps."
