Fine tail light scratches

Hey gang

I have fine scratches on my tail lights like you would see on your clearcoat. Problem is my tails are blacked out on my 13 GT/CS and they are very noticeable. Will a plastic polish and some elbow or buffer work do the trick?

Anyone done this before? Whats the steps involved. I want to avoid any wet sanding

I've done it on mine with plastic polish by hand, but mine aren't smoked??:?

I would try some polish by hand but that's about all you can really do. I don't think wet sanding would work as it isn't a painted finish but just a polished plastic.

Polish it a couple of times with any scratch remover compound, then throw a couple of coats of wax on those puppies.

Update for those who care :)

I used some Megs Ultimate compound with very good results. Leaves them shiny and almost scratch free. I'm happy with the results. Going to wax them and hope that protects them from further scratches
