Ford OEM NAV in my 07 GT

I installed a FORD OEM NAV (Pioneer Brick) in my 07 replacing the Shaker 500 system. It generally works with the exception of the VSS (speed signal) which helps the GPS and allows speed sensitive volume; the pushbuttons don't illuminate or dim at night when I turn on the lights; and the Aux In isn't recognized. I can buy other kits for Blue Tooth/Phone but haven't yet.
Apparently this thing need to be programmed to recognise the hardwired signals rather than getting them from the MSCan bus.

Does anyone know of a place (probably a radio repair shop) in Canada that can do this programming? I can send the unit to FD Tech in the US but of course that involves expensive shipping which I'd like to avoid. I took it to the dealer but they were more than useless and didn't want to do anything.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Contact Mobile Sounds in Calgary. I was a service adviser at Toyota ( I know) and they did all the factory and aftermarket work and repairs. Good bunch of guys too.

Thanks for the tip. I just phoned them and the guy said he couldn't do it - and to take it to a Ford dealer and they can program it with their IDS programming tool. I tried that already and got a dumb look from the Service Tech. Perhaps I should try a different Ford dealership. I tried Northstar Ford in Crowfoot and also Fourlane Ford in Innisfail. Neither said they could do it even though they both had the programming tools. Funny a place in the US can do it - but the dealers here say they can't (or perhaps won't).

Northstar Ford, well there's your problem. ^^^

Seems like you're getting a run around. Maybe a few of our dealer guys here can shed some light on it.

I phoned Auto Temp Air & Sound and Quinton told me to phone Advantage Ford. I phoned Kendal there (Service Manager), left a message, and am waiting to see if he 1) phones back, and 2) has any pointers or recommendations. Still waiting 3 hours later but maybe he took the day off or is really busy. Will see.....

Yeah - Northstar Ford has been less than stellar in their ability to service my vehicle. Originally when I got the vehicle there was a 'tshhh' sound coming from the passenger rear. They wanted 5 hours (@ $150 per hour) to diagnose the problem. They said it was something in the rear diff. So I then took the car to John at LogicAuto where he put it on the hoist, duplicated the sound and said the diff was very quiet, and the problem was with the brakes. No charge. I changed the pads and all good now.
Later, once I heard about the problem with the 2 piece spark plugs - Northstar Service advisor just laughed and said it could be up to $1200 if they all broke. So I did it myself following the TSB - none broke. When I took it to Northstar the tech said the car didn't come with a GPS antenna, it didn't have one, and he couldn't program the radio. I do have a GPS antenna which I installed previously and the NAV works - and they charged me $45 for that. I'm not too impressed with Northstar as you aren't either Herbz.

Not to get too off topic but I haven't had much luck with Calgary car dealers in general. Northstar jerked me around so I started using Maclin, who then dropped the ball on my last visit. In August I bought a "Certified" 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI for my girlfriend and South Centre VW hasn't been all that easy to deal with either. I actually get most of my Ford work done at Legacy Ford in Ponoka because my parents live there and the service is so much better.

Good luck in your search. I can't seem to find much online similar to what you're trying to do.
