If a vacuum is good, it sucks...right?
I have purchased, as have most car enthusiasts, at least ONE of those special "car vacuum cleaners" that either plug into your cigarette lighter receptacle or run on AC. (OK, I have bought 6 of them of varying configurations but that's another story. Hope springs eternal in the human...etc. etc.) ALL of them - at least in my case - really SUCKED. And not in a good way.
Today I was rewarded for my optimism. I bought an ALL-POWER Model APV-7000 3HP Vacuum/Blower at COSTCO. And it works. No, I mean it REALLY WORKS!!!! Even better than the Shop-Vac I used to drag around the driveway, trying to stretch that miserably short hose to reach the gritty depths of my back seat. This thing is small (a bit larger than a family-size bottle of soda pop), built like a tank, and comes with all kinds of neat nozzles and...a double set of hoses! Join 'em up and there's not a nook or cranny that you can't comfortably reach while the unit sits OUTSIDE your car. And the whole package costs only $48.99! Take my word for it, you won't be disappointed - this thing WORKS. (Disclaimer: I am not a COSTCO or All-Power employee or shareholder, nor do I play one on television.) |

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. Yes, it has to be plugged into an AC outlet. But that's a small price to pay for having a portable (much smaller than the smallest shop-vac) that you don't have to drag all over your leather seats. I did all the mats and carpets in all the cars today - man, this thing could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch!

i to have bought a couple trying to find the "perfect" one for my dump truck, and so far the 3 that i have bought have been crap. One is even a DC powered Dustbuster (dustbusted actually makes it) so i thought they would make a good product. Apperently not good enough for me.
my truck gets really dusty from being in all the gravel pits and working on site all the time. I finally gave up and now just use a regular vaccuum cleaner that has a 2nd hose length jerry-rigged to it. I'll have to go see this and if it doesn't work i swear to god i'm gonna throw something :crutch i have a 400W power inverter, any chance that would be enough to power that little vaccuum cleaner? |
Thanks for the info, i'll have to check into it!!!

I was also using a shop-vac with two hoses duct-taped together, but this little unit is just much more convenient to use. |
