took off the stripes because i could not stand to look all the pitting and discoloration from tree sap getting on them, bought the car with them that way. AS it sits im going to be looking at trading it off next spring or soon when i find a gt500 i like or find a good deal that i cant pass up Im not sure if im going to replace them or not before i sell the car.

Did you try a clay bar before taking them off?

Did you get all the adhesive stripped off as well? Looks like there's still some on the paint in your pics?

Yes i got all the glue off, thanks to my friend that works at a local dealership. They have a special compound for just such occasions. hole process took two days. Day 1 was taking the stripes off, and the second day was removing any glue left over then washing the car 2 times to make sure there was no glue left anywhere on the car before it was polished.

YA i thinking if a car comes with strips from the factory they should be painted on, its not like new cars that are of any decent quality ant expensive, we should at least get something worth the money we are paying for these toys, for example Ford GT40 comes with painted stripes. lol just my opinion

I agree but yours wouldn't have been factory. The factory stripes didn't carry onto the bumpers on the GT. I honestly think that black looks better without stripes anyway, look at Snakebite's car. Clean and mean looking. If you do decide to restripe though look into matte black stripes, it looks great. Subtle and you only notice it when you really look.
