Need Help Finding Good Body Paint Shop!

Hey guys, been working on the GT During winter, and sadly for some reason I noticed really bad bubbling in the paint on a couple spots on my car. Right Side Front bumper and ing, and Back Wheel Fender at the top the whole thing has turned into a crap show with bubbles everywhere!! What gives! One popped and shows some rust, I think the previous owner had a small bump in a parking lot, got it painted I assume and probs did a bad job :banghead: Anyyyyways, any of you know a good place to get the fender and bumper properly sanded, prepped and color match painted!! I Live in langley, so places within a reasonable driving distance would be awesome! Want quality work so I dont have to do it again! Thanks a lot! :tup

I'm not sure of any shops in B.C. but if you find your way to Barrie, Ontario come and see me. Greg Dunn at South Barrie Auto will fix ya up right :tup

I was googling around never tried to search on this site and found this thread. I had an accident 2 yrs ago and unfortunately got taken advantage of and got a crappy paint job. One section (rear drvr side 1/4 pnl) has surface rust, and just noticed the rear bumper has paint peeling. I am trying to find someone to speak to regarding repaints (proper paint job) I right now have no choice but to drive my car year round so winter driving is done. I do rust proof with Krown since new. My question is why am I being told by the shop that did my car rust will always happen?$$%#^@ Why then is that the only section of my car (what they repaired) rusting? Allthe original panels are rust free? Should I wait to get a quality paint job when I know I can store the car? I do not plan on ever selling this Mustang I finally got my dream Stang so I take the best care possible of my daily driver. Is there a difference from a factory paint vs repaint? Is factory that much better?

I think it really boils down to these shops not taking the time to really do it right. That being said no one including insurance companies would really want to pay for that.

Well I spoke with John Dryden
ttp://home.cogeco.ca/~jmdryden/index.html

He has his own shop and is presently working on a '67, '69 and a 2006 totalled. I have seen his finished work first hand and love his attention to detail. He said I could come see what he is working on now (Iwill) as you said Chad it all depends on the shop. I definitely will pay more for quality. Unfortunately I have to wait as I would prefer getting the car redone when I can afford to store it.

Its not so much the paint like Chad said its all the prep work and all the steps before paint and doing that all right that prevent bubbling and rust, unfortunately I know how you feel I have some surface rust and bubbling on a panel do to quick and poor worksmanship. When it comes to painting a car you get what you pay for and that's why im taking my time!

I need to have my trunk lid fixed up sometime this summer as I have some paint bubbling by the lower edge.
I'm not too far from Barrie so if that's something you do then I might want you to have a look @ it once my biz travel calms down a bit.
