Security system

i am going to get a Security system installed and i was just wondering what your guys thought are?

They have their good and bad but in my opinion any security is a good idea. Theives will normally pick the easiest target. That being said it doesn't matter how much security you have, if they really want it they will find a way to take it.

I agree with ChadStang, anybody wants something bad enough, they'll just smash and grab. How many times have you been in a mall parking lot and heard an alarm going off and thought....I better call the cops or go check it out ? Nope, your first thought is turn that friggin' thing off, you're bugging the heck out of everyone. Alarms are like locks on your house, they only keep the honest people out, makes no diff to d-bag lowlifes. lol

If you're going to get one I'd get a 2-way alarm. That's the type when the alarm on the car goes off it will also signal your remote. Get one with the longest range possible.

At the end of the day however it's a piece of mind thing. As already stated if someone really want it they'll get it but it will help keep away the kids.
