Sequential Tail Lights

I recently bought a set of Sequential Tail Lights from someone on another mustang forum. They are the dynamite stick ones from WebElectronics...
I went to install them and I ran into a snag... I downloaded the instructions from the net and the tail lights in the instruction don't match what my tail lights have.. it shows that socket #1 (inner socket) has 2 wires and you plug the wire the harness into the socket #1. However, my sockets have molded plastic so I can't get the wire in there.

maybe I got the wrong set for my car or i'm just overlooking something?

Not sure what to say. Maybe you have the wrong harness?? I have CDC Sequentials and they were straight plug and play. Removed the old harness plugged in new one and everything worked.
