Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if the shaker stereo or the nav stereo is any good or am i better off putting in my BT930 nav deck instead?

Im not going to run a amp or after market speakers right now, but I want good bass and clear as possible for time being till i move on to the next stage.

what Shaker system do you have the 500 or 1000?

im looking at trying to get a stang this summer so right now neither lol. Was just wondering if it is worth for me to upgrade the stereo from ford, or just do after market and save the cash when buying the stang

The shaker is standard on most models and IMO it's pretty decent. Eventually I will probably add a subwoofer to mine but I'm very happy with the sound quality. It could just use a little more bass.

ok, thanks for that. So next question is (i'm not very stereo savy) what is involved in adding a sub to the factory stereo system?

If you weren't so freaking far from me ChadStang, I would have been going through you for a mustang. But 7 hour drive is a little far for me to come lol

You can purchase a wire harness that plugs into the rear speakers and will give you an RCA output to plug into your amp and a remote turn on wire. Then you just need power from the battery and a ground in the trunk. When I put one in I'll be looking at a moulded box meant to fit my car. Shelby has really nice Kicker units that are plug and play. Thanks for thinking of me on your car purchase, I understand the distance would make it tough to do.
