I finally bought a Beltronics STIR Plus radar detector got it installed today :tup. It took installer all day to put it in looks pretty good. I am going to order a Laser Interceptor Generation 8 jammer. From what I hear that is the jammer to get. Unless someone on here can shed some light on the laser jammer world. :chacha:

I will post some pics soon as always am away at work :(

so what are the penalties for having radar and jammers in Ontario ??

Not sure, but they'll take your car for doing 50 km over the speed limit, so they can probably shoot you in the right foot or something similarly draconian if you're caught with those devices here.

8 years ago i was caught in YellowKnife with my radar. I was leaving to come back home the next morning so the cop said lock it up in the glove box till you are gone. He said normally he makes the owner drive over the radar to crush it.

Some places i heard take them, some smash them and fines.

As of right now, They are still legal in Saskatchewan

Every province and state is different it seems just like window tint. I'm thinking of getting one. The Wifey got a tick in the Yukon, so it would have been useful!

I read a story about a BlueJay got caught with his detector they rip it out of his dash causing some pretty good damage to the cars dashboard. Oh also a nice big fine. 100-1000 on first offence and three points.
