I think each of them has specs....I'd say +10 atleast.

Id have to say at least 10+ also if not more. You shoudl give it a coat of wax too after the clay bar. And make sure you wash the car well first and use lots of soap and water when claybaring. I use a spray bootle filled with water and alittle car was soap

Thanks guys, about the soap for claying,I got the Mothers and they included a spray bottle of Mother's Showtime to use instead of water?

I have never done this before so I will take your advice. Should I use water like you said or use the spray on wax that they gave in the kit? thanks again.

I think one or the other would be fine, but i think the spray provided would work a little better.

I never used the spray so I wouldnt know, I only use zaino products on my car.

heres how I do it...

After you wash your car really good with car wash or liquid dawn spray down your car really well, you dont really need to dry it since youll be be spraying water and soap on it anyways.

Spreay in pieces. For the roof I spray half of it and work half the hood in little strokes, and then spray the area I claybar and shammy it. Then I do half the hood, door, fender, trunk, half bumper etc (in no particular order, just make sure you end up doing it all)

Then I was the car one more time, shammy it and give it a coat of wax and Im done.

Also remember. Try to do it in the shade (most waes must be done in the shade) it also gives you more time before the water dries.

heres a pic after the first coat ever of Zaino claybar and one coat of zaino Z2

The Showtime is the recommended lubricant with the Mother's kit.

2 things:

1) keep the surface wet at all times or that clay bar won't go anywhere...probably make more of a mess than anything.

2) that clay bar is one sticky SOB...and if you drop it on the ground...she's garbage...it'll pick up dirt in a second...so don't drop it!

Good point Tim!

If you drop the claybar and use it on your car you might aswell use sandpaper.

car cleaning

Same for any towels or wax removers ie cloth diapers. If you drop it do not shake it out and continue to use. Grab a new one.
