Trim panel residue remover
 

Guys, when you remove your rear spoiler or any other part that has double sided tape there will be some of the gummy residue always left.

It is a bitch to get this stuff off.

I was at a body shop recently and asked the guys there what they use and here it is.
They call it an eraser and basically it is a rubber wheel that you attach to a drill and it takes off all the crap fairly easily and will not destroy the clear coat.
Most paint and body shop supply shops will carry these. About $20.

ya we use the same thing at my shop but you have to squert woter on the panil first of it will just turn in to fluff balls and there just as bad to get of

what about using goo gone? is it safe for paint?

I have that too and it does work but depending on how much adhesive you have to remove it is really labour intensive and time consuming.......the kind I have doesn't appear to hurt the clear coat.

Yeah,goo gone works,have it in my tool box LOL!
But like DTK said,depending on how much adhesive is left behind on the panel,it can take a bit of arm work to get it off.
And it is safe to use aswell.:tup

I generally use WD-40, and an old hair drier for a little heat. It takes a bit of time, but does not harm the paint.

I would stay away from any kind of camicals like goo gone or wd 40 cuz it softs up the clear and paint after time
