Vehicle Detailing

I have started detailing vehicles (swirl mark removal). Here are a few pics of a 2005 Thunderbird.

Yes the third shot is a little blurry. Shame on me for not holding the camera still.

I used a Porter Cable 7424xp with a Chemical Guys orange foam hex pad for cutting through the swirls. I used Chemical Guys V36 cutting polish on the pad. Once the swirls are out I used Meguiar's Polish on the area, followed by a coat of Meguiar's Hi-Tech Carnuba wax. The polish and wax are also applied with the Porter Cable but using a different pad for each application. The attached youtube video gives you an idea of the process.

Looks good. I've weighed getting a power polisher. My F150 has some swirls on the hood and doors after 10 years of chamois drying.
