White snakes Cobra Paint!!!

Well, im in the process of doing a complete restoration of White Snake paint on his 96 Cobra. gave it a wash and chamois, pulled it into the garage and turned on the florescent lights....WOW....Should have left them off!... I've done the hood with some compound and does it ever shine!

Pics later when im done!

That looks better. I applied the 34th and 35th coat of wax/polish yesterday. It took 5 hours with the yappy neighbours standing over me. This included detailing under the hood and trunk lid, anything painted :4:. The odo reads 2403 kms

do you ever strip the wax between some coats?
i was just wondering, because after that many coats, i would think it would not look as good, because of it being so thick.
but i dont know much about wax. :1:

Every time the car is washed wax/polish is stripped off. This is not the first time this question has been put to me mind you. My first car an 82GP 350 coats, the 90gt 90 coats, the 2000 TJ Sahara 87 coats etc etc and the shine and finish were impeccable. In the army we waxed/polished the floor EVERY NIGHT for 16weeks and the shine was amazing, gfong can atest to the last sentence. :teeth: If you ever travel to Calgary, come have a look at my car and you will be shocked at the mirror like finish-all by hand of coarse :thum:

true with something like a pure carnuba...but not true if the polish is a synthetic

to get a quality synthetic off...you have like 2 choices...a quality swirl remover...Dupont Prepsol wax and grease remover...and/or a combination of both

trust me on this...in 2004 I spent nearly 50 hours over 2 weeks fixing a chemical reaction between 2 synthetics....and washing the car does not take it off :3:
