whats all involved with putting a 03 cobra svt engine into a 99 gt 5 speed?

 

it should just drop in maby motor mounts but that should be it

 

mounts,headers,wire harness,computer,mid pipe,tranny,accessories,gauge cluster. it can be done but there is a lot of work involved

 

i can get everything pretty easy but the tranny and gauge cluster might be a bit tricky. reason for this is there is a 03 cobra svt engine with everything for sale for $1850. it just need put back together. and the guy said it had 2k on it before he pulled it.

??id question this? these motors sell for over 5g's easy, does ur price include blower/intake...etc..etc???

 

will this motor bolt up to my 5 speed untill i get a 6

 

It will bolt right up,same bolt patern!

 

now my next question...is it wise to do this.its only temp untill i find a decent 6 speed. and find the cash. i just want to get the motor in the car in time for summer.

 

Yes it will be find.A member of our local club put a termi crate engine in his wifes '98 Cobra with the stock 5 speed still behind it.No issues yet.
But i'm sure eventually you will want to change the 5 speed out,as the stocker does not have the torque specs to back it of for years of fun .
