1986 gt maf
86 is a roller motor, just uses flat top pistons and the E6 heads aren't as good as the E7's you find in 87-93, and yes you convert to maf the same way as 87/88, you just need a maf meter, the maf coversion harness (you could easily make your own, i did) and of course you need a maf computer.
As said above, yes you can do the MAF swap.
You need the Harness, MAF meter, and EEC (aka computer).
Now the MOST common EEC is the A9L computer, but you don't necessarily need a "A9L" you have different varieties to choose from...
By fallowing this chart in the link I provide there is different years and models that will work for you.
Ford Fuel Injection » EEC Program Codes
Scroll down to the 5.0 Section, and match all that are lets say Manual, 5.0, and MAF and write down the EEC codes and head to the junk yard and see what you can find.
Good luck.
