Need some help guys, I have came across a 95 stang with a 3.8 5spd. Motor is cooked. I have 3 5.0 siiting on the floor in my garage. I want to do a swap. I have a computer and harness out of a 89 gt, with all the EFI stuff. I have been told that the 5.0 will bolt into the 3.8 K-frame, but will that 5spd bolt up and will it be strong enough for the 5.0. i am not really that familiar with the newer mustangs and wanted to know if this is going to be a bigger headache then what its worth?

 

I've done the swap on a 1997 (a very clean swap) and I may be doing another one on a 1998 - for my wife. There are a lot of nay-sayers out there from people who have never done the swap. The 5 speed tranny will be strong enough for the 5.0L but you'll need a new bellhousing, flywheel, and clutch. Shoot me a message if you have any questions.
