gauges
Hey all. Over the winter I got some gauges for the car, New fuel,water,and volt. Having problem hook up the fuel ones as it reals the level in the tank. I seem to have lost the inst for it. would like to know were the best spot to wire into the car and how to wire up the back of the gauge. I m lost, any help would be great thannk.

I believe you're talking about a fuel level guage as opposed to a fuel pressure or fuel to air ratio guage.
These instructions might change slightly depending on what brand of fuel level guage you have. If you're using an AutoMeter guage with all the different colored wires hanging out of the back of the guage click this link and you should be ok:

If you're not using an AutoMeter guage then you can follow these instructions:
Ok, first things first. Pop your hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from your battery.
The guage, if it's an electric one, will need to connect to the fuel sender module on your Mustangs fuel tank.
If you're running new wires for the guage use 18 gage copper insulated wire and run the wire all the way from the guage to the fuel tank.
Route the length of 18 gauge insulated copper wire from the gauge to the fuel sender. Connect the wire to the fuel sender. Connect the other end of the wire to the connection post on the back of the gauge.
Check to ensure that the factory (or aftermarket) fuel level sender is properly grounded to the chassis of the car. Connect a second length of 18-gauge insulated copper wire to the connection post on the back of the gauge marked “-“ or "negative". Connect the other end of the wire to the point where the fuel level tank sender is grounded.
Connect a third length of 18-gauge insulated copper wire to the connection post on the back of the gauge marked “+” or "positive". Connect the other end of the wire to the fuse box where the wire will receive +12 volts of power whenever the ignition key is in a START, ON or ACCESSORY position.
Then reconnect your battery's negative battery cable.
