I have a 1990 Mustang, gray with white interior and white top.
The top must be replaced, so my questions are:

Is it ok to replace my white top with a black top and anything to keep in mind?

Is it ok to buy the top kit and then have Apple autoglass install it? Apple wants $1,900 for them to create a top and install or $6-700 to install a kit, but they say kits can vary.

I can get a kit for $3-400 USD and so would like to go this route but don't want to make a stupid purchase either.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is just a 2+2 but it is paid for, a convertible and my daughter remembers riding in it and at 9 yrs, we can still have some fun times ahead, but it isn't worth putting alot of money into.

I see no problem with changing colors and I would hunt around for an installer. By the way welcome
