Hi all,
I'm looking at a 2012 GT, Lava Red exterior. I went with the Rapid Spec 401A option because I thought the "Premier Trim with Colour Accent" were the seats in the attached pic (black leather with Lava Red inserts).
After poking around the web some more, I've realized that this may not be the case. It might be the black seats with a single cashmere stripe (sorry no pic).

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the Lava Red insert seats are available with the 401A option, or will I have to revert back to the 400A (the standard interior), and then request the Lava Red insert seats?

My dealer isn't even sure but I may have to get him to check with someone at Ford before we order.

well when i bought my 2011 gt cs my seats (and other interior parts) were already special for my car. but i no that some interior packages like yours have to ordered otherwise u may not get your 2tone interior. but im not 100% sure because some cars come stock with the 2 tone.

 

I'll check the order guide tomorrow and post what I find for you.

That being said, I think I may have come across my answer. I went to the US Ford site and did a Build and Price. With the regular 400A I can choose this interior, but when I try to choose 401A it won't let me. I doesn't say I can't, but the fact that it changes the option is enough to tell me I can't have both.

 

I tried building it on our system and that interior is not available with 401a, I assume because of the premier trim. Premier trim comes brick red w/ cashmere accent, black w/ grabber blue accent, or black w/ cashmere accent. If you want that combo the only way I could get it to work was with 400a. If you need any more info let me know as I have all of the resources availabel to me. I'm not sure why your dealer can't figure it out as they have the same info.

Thanks ChadStang. I called the dealer again this morning and we worked it out. The last time I talked to him he didn't know off the top of his head and "the computer" was being used...yes, it's a small place.
