Turbocharged 4 cyl for 2015 Mustang?

Good to see that in this article they say the 4 banger turbo would be a third engine choice....That means they still plan to build 5.0 Stangs, if this is true!

I think that if they make an SVO they really should use the 3.5 Ecoboost. I know the original was a 4cyl but it had similar performance to the 5.0 cars at the time. The turbo 4 would be a great base engine though.

^^^ No no, it's a good thing SNAKEBITE. The 4 banger would keep Ford's overall emmissions low so they can keep selling the 5.0 and GT500. Also, it's the V6 that has kept the Mustang alive all these years. V6's make up the bulk majority of Mustang sales. More engine options is a good thing. 4-banger and V6 sales keep the 5.0's and 5.4 programs alive. Win Win.

X's 2!!!!

It makes one wonder though, how small will the next generation Mustang be seeing that the 4 cylinder is finding it's way back under the Mustang's hood?!?

x2. its the sound that does it for me too. mustangs should only come v-8. all were missing now is a mustang hybrid, or even better electric.not a supporter of the 4 cyl. i have a tendency to laugh at civics with turbos and huge mufflers. if they come out with a 4 cyl mustang people would turn it into a ricer for sure. would break my heart.
