hi forum,

another recent problem with the stang is when i come to a stop, SOMETIMES the idle will just keep rising and rising. I literally have to turn the car off and back on. its hella embarrassing.

what could it be? the car runs and drives fine except for when that issue arises.

I will pull codes tonight, but i just want to know if any of you have dealt with this before or have any tips. thanks.

 

Sounds like the speed idle motor to me good Sir. Happened to me once with a Mitsubishi back in the day. Old guy next to me at a set of lights driving a Buick Skylark was giving me the stink eye thinking I was reving my engine wanting to race. Embaressing is right.
