Looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 02 V6 3.8L whats your sugestion

 

There are a few people on here with 3.8's that should chime in soon for you.

 

On my 2002 v6 , I have a steeda CAI , BBK throttle body , Headman headers and Magnaflow catback exhaust with a gt back bumper cover to tie it all together . The car works good and sounds good for a v6

 

does the gt bumper cover just bolt right up or does it require some modding

 

No modding just bolt in place . I don't pretend that it is a gt but it finishes the exhaust fit completely without the bumper cover the exhaust tips just hang down a bit . But I have my car lowered 2 inches so with the v6 bumper they were too low . Have fun moddeing your mustang.

 

That's exactly what I needed to know I just want the dual to tie in nicely did you go with a true dual and where did you get your back bumper

 

Magnaflow catback , nice sound , quality kit I did the exhaust first and then found bumper on kijji and had it painted . installed and adjusted brackets to correct setting .The reason for short tube headers was a cracked exhaust manifold , quite common on our era v6's .

 

We went with true dual magnaflow's .. sounds great, looks great, no clearence issues even with a 2 inch drop. Saleen kit makes a difference though.

 

iv got vap auto windstar intake, gt throttle body, ford 3 to 1 headers, pypes x pipe with high flow cats, and mac cat back. iv gotten told the car sounds like a gt.
