So i finally got my pi heads and mac longtubes on my 1996 mustang gt and flowmaster high flow cats , but the car is really loud with no mufflers on the car , so i am looking at getting either the flowmaster 40 series or 44 series muffler , whats got the better sound?

 

I myself have always liked the sound of the 40 series "Originals". Have them on both my F 150, and GT.
Haven't heard the 44 series though.
I'm sure a quick search on you tube will score lots of vids.

 

I have the 40 series Originals with a off rd BBK- H-pipe she sounds really good! .

 

Lots of guys like the 40's. From what have read/heard the 44 is a little louder.

 

Flow 40s. Had them on all of my stangs except one. Long tubes, hpipe and flow 40s in my 94 now. Love it.

 

Well looks like i am probly going with the 40's , does anyone on here have the 44's and what are they like?

 

I listened to the 44's on a mustang gt 96 like mine , and they sound awsome , the video is on youtube and he has the camera inside the car while he is driving so that you know what they sound like inside the car.

 

I checked out a few clips just for interest sake and I find the 44's have a smoother sound.
